Severe weather conditions impact our central hub operations
Last night's severe weather conditions significantly impacted our central hub operations overnight and into this morning.
Our sites in the West and East Midlands faced severe access issues, preventing many inbound trailers from reaching the hubs. This also impacted our ability to dispatch some outbound trailers to depots all across the country.
While our teams have worked tirelessly throughout the night, treacherous weather conditions across the Midlands, Wales, Cornwall, Scotland and Yorkshire & Humber continue to present challenges to our depot network.
As a result, a number of parcels collected yesterday will incur a delay.
Storm Goretti is still severely impacting deliveries to Ireland and Mainland Europe, and delays should be expected for these destinations.
While we are doing everything possible to minimise disruption to you and your customers, the wellbeing and safety of our team - both in our sites and on the road - remains our absolute priority.
Amber and Yellow weather warnings remain in force for much of the UK today; you can view the latest details here.
Any delays by area will be shown on our website and updated throughout the day, and you can view any impacted parcels on your MyDPD portal.
We'll also let your customers know of any delay if you have provided their contact details to us.
We will be operating throughout the weekend to support in clearing any impacted parcels. We will remain in close contact with you and provide regular updates today and over the weekend as the situation develops.
